Installation
Copperbar is a proprietary Mac app for working with coding agents in isolated Git workspaces.
Beta availability
Public downloads are being prepared. There is no public Homebrew tap or Mac download yet. Check download availability for updates, or email us about the Mac beta.
Installation commands will appear here once the public release is available.
Mac requirements
Copperbar targets Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 Ventura or later. Compatibility testing on macOS 13 is still pending. An Intel Mac download is not available.
Have Git, a local Git repository and an authenticated coding agent ready.
Connect an agent
Install and sign in to your preferred agent CLI separately. Copperbar integrates with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode through their local commands. Provider subscriptions and model usage are billed separately.
Once you have a Mac build, open Copperbar, add your repository and follow your first workspace. GitHub pull-request actions also need the GitHub CLI installed and signed in.
Your local data
New installations store application data under ~/.copperbar. Workspace files are ordinary Git working directories. Back up your work before moving or replacing application data; existing installations may retain their original data location.
Keep the default local-only connection settings unless you deliberately configure remote access.
